ToteTuesday 3 opens at 11 a.m. CST today!

Logo by Jeanelle McCall

Let the shopping begin!  Well, OK, not until 11 a.m. CST today.  But you can go and see all the fiber-related themed totes now here and the auction will take place on the very same page.

There is a great line-up of 13 themed totes and three individual art works.  And, of course, everything is one-of-a-kind.  And it’s a fundraiser with 100% donated directly to the American Cancer Society.

What more could you ask for?   WELL, I refuse to list retail value for every tote, but perhaps the following examples will give you an example of how generous sponsors/donors have been:

Sue Bleiweiss, on behalf of 3 Creative Studios, specifically requested an opening bid of $75, less than 50% of retail value on the 3 Creative Studios tote.  The tote includes a gift certificate for any one online class with Sue.

The tote for Close To Your Heart (sponsored by Peggy Schroder) was donated by Fannie Narte and features a secret message written inside.  This bag was featured in Haute Handbags. The opening bid for the Close To Your Heart tote is $135, less than 50% of retail.  The tote includes a small art quilt by Pat Owoc.

I know I don’t need to list the retail values of all the totes; you already  know that  the sponsors/donors for ToteTuesday have been VERY generous so YOU will be able to participate in this fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

Fire up that charge card and zip on over to the ToteTuesday auction webpage.  The preview is open now, opening bids/Go For The Gold bids go up at 10:50 a.m., and the shopping begins at 11 a.m. CST.

Thank you for your generous support of ToteTuesday, a Fiberart For A Cause fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  Our goal is $12,000.  The final ToteTuesday will be next week, February 24.

Warm up that charge card for the good cause that also lets you have a great time shopping.  There will be 13 themed totes (art quilts, fiber collages, gift certificates, yarn, buttons, vintage embellishments, books, hand-dyed and hand-painted fabrics, custom-made journals, more, more, more) AND three very special individual artworks by Gerrie Congdon, Terri Stegmiller, and Elin Waterston up for bid during ToteTuesday 3.

Go to the preview for ToteTuesday 3 here to see all the totes and artwork.  The opening bids are left blank for now to avoid a premature bidding war.

Digital Inspirations and More! tote by Gloria Hansen includes five yards of her hand-painted fabric.  Yes, the same fabric she uses in her award-winning quilts.

Please bookmark that webpage as it will also be the site of the auction beginning at 11 a.m. CST tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16.

HeARTs for ToteTuesday on February 16

Logo by Jeanelle McCall

In addition to a dozen or so one-of-a-kind themed fiber-related totes for ToteTuesday on February 16, you will be seeing special artwork up for bid. Peggy Schroder asked well-known artists to donate artwork based on a heart theme for the HeART tote.  These special artworks will be offered individually.

This is a detail from Elin Waterston‘s Mi Corazon from the HeART tote.  The mixed-media artwork is 6×5″

Joining Elin’s artwork will be this highly layered artwork by Terri Stegmiller:

Terri’s artwork is 10×10″  on gallery wrapped canvas that was textured with molding paste. Then layers of paint were added along with stamped and stenciled designs.

A preview of all the artwork for ToteTuesday 3 on February 16 will be posted to my website on Monday, February 15 with the link posted here on my blog.  A mini-preview of all the totes not yet up for bid is here.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.  We are over half way there with $5675 already donated and two ToteTuesdays yet to come.

Thank you for your generous support of ToteTuesday, a Fiberart For A Cause fundraiser.
