The Invitational Reverse Auction of Fabulous Fiberart raised a new record of $8794 for the American Cancer Society with only eleven fiber artworks.

This was possible due to the talented artists who donated the gorgeous fiberart: Frances Holliday Alford, Terry Grant, Peg Keeney, Jay Rich, Susan Sorrell, Del Thomas, Larkin Van Horn, Laura Wasilowski, and Leni Wiener.

You can see which generous patrons added artwork to their collections here.

Thank you for your support during the Invitational Reverse Auction.

Fiberart For A Cause has now donated over $150,000 to the American Cancer Society.

Today at 10 a.m. the minimum donation to the ACS drops to 1/2 of Monday’s minimum donation. If all the artwork were acquired today, the ACS would receive $7599!

Tomorrow is the last day of the Reverse Auction and will bring the final reduction. But if you wait until tomorrow, will your favorite artwork will be gone?

All the details are here.

Of course, 100% of your donation is made directly to the American Cancer Society through Fiberart For A Cause and you will receive an immediate electronic receipt from the ACS.

Inspiration and more

How mysterious! I take my camera everywhere and the car wash turned out to be a gold mine of interesting images. It all started when I noticed the ice patterns frozen on the outside curtain and continued right up to the exit. I may have to do a photo essay on Art, Nature, Creativity, Life with all the photos.

Of course, there is a new post in The Garbage Day Project blog today.

The Invitational Reverse Auction to benefit the American Cancer Society is off to a glorious start. Gold Donors include Tomme Fent who acquired Leni Wiener’s Approaching Storm and Teri Springer who acquired Jay Rich’s Woad Kimono-Style Jacket. Congratulations to these Gold Donor patrons and artists!

The minimum donation to the ACS will drop considerably today at 10 a.m. CST and will do so each day through March 13. But wait too long and your favorite piece of art will be gone!

Go and check out all the artwork (art quilts, a swing coat (see below), beaded jewelry) from the invited artists here.

How much do they decrease each day? Good question. Remember the Gold Donor Day is for those patrons willing to make a premium donation in support of the ACS and FFAC. Here is an example:
