New Zealand exhibition and online sale opens today

July 3

Today opens the online portion of the 10th International Collage Exhibition/Exchange, featuring the artwork of 159 artists from around the world. Included are artists from 28 states in the US and Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Japan, New Zealand and Romania.

One collage from each artist will be offered for sale at an exhibition in New Plymouth, New Zealand, but you can also buy it online on the Virtual TART site here.

One collage is also part of a month-long exhibition on the Virtual TART site during April and then becomes part of the collection of the Amarillo Museum of Art in Texas.

The International Collage Exhibition/Exchange is a labor of love by artist Dale Copeland and I appreciate the opportunity to participate.

You can see all of my July collages here.

$100 gift certificate drawing – Deadline Monday

Photo from Art, Nature, Creativity, Life

A $100 gift certificate to Flourish!, a complete online resouce for art quilting supplies, has been donated by Jane Davila for a random drawing prize.

How to enter?

Donate $50 to subscribe to Art, Nature, Creativity, Life before April 1.

It’s not often that you can receive a creative resource, donate to the American Cancer Society through Fiberart For A Cause, AND be eligible for a drawing all at the same time!

Art, Nature, Creativity, Life is an ongoing, online book. There is nothing to download and you have access 24/7 to essays, haikus, inspirational photos and more! In fact, I added two new exclusive artworks this month. Here is what one reader’s comment about this unique resource:

Dear Virginia,
I want to tell you how much I like your E-Book. I couldn’t put it down until I reached the end. And then, surprise! You added two more chapters today. Sorry I waited so long to subscribe. I didn’t know what I was missing.

Marge B.

Links to more reviews, a sample chapter and more information are here.

To go directly to the Fiberart For A Cause donation page and make your $50 donation, click here.
You may also subscribe for a minimum $25 donation if you do not care to be entered in the drawing.

Inspiration and The Garbage Day Project

Prairie Sky

If I ever feel as though I am done with the Boundary Waters as inspiration, I am probably going to turn to the prairie preserve near my home. Beautiful in its simplicity.

There is a new post in The Garbage Day Project today.

Just an FYI. I have reluctantly changed to not allowing comments for my blogs as I am spending too much time on spam. Do feel free to mail your comments or questions to me at Virgina(at)
Thank you.
