Boundary Waters 13 - Detail

All of the Boundary Waters series artworks have returned home safely after a two-month sojurn at the Norfolk Art Center. I am working on putting up a full gallery of the artwork; you can expect it to be up next week.

In the meantime, here is a mini-gallery of work available and another here.

My sincere thanks go to Christopher Rempe, Assistant Director, for his careful packing of the art to ensure it arrived back in pristine condition; Kara Weander-Gaster, Executive Director, and company for their care in hanging the show and the lovely opening reception; and Monty and Katie Wilson for their generous sponsorship of the show.

Collage Mania - Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

Thank you for participating in Collage Mania, a FFAC fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Collage Mania opens at 9 a.m. CST and closes at 5 p.m. CST.

Each collage below is available for a minimum $40 donation to the American Cancer Society via the Fiberart For A Cause donation page. Feel free to donate more - it all supports cancer education and research.

How to participate:
1. It’s first come, first serve. Just e-mail me at
Virginiaat(use the @ symbol)VirginiaSpiegel.com
with your choices.
I will mark the collages already chosen as ACQUIRED BY A PATRON as quickly as I can.

2. Please don’t make a donation with your credit card to the ACS (unless you just want to do so) until I let you know that you are the lucky new owner of one of these special collages as refunds aren’t possible from the ACS.

My thanks to Karen Stiehl Osborn for her generous and continuing support of FFAC.

Karen Stiehl Osborn and I both have been having a lot of fun with collage lately. Collage Mania, opening here tomorrow at 9 a.m. CST, will be your chance to make a donation to the American Cancer Society via the Fiberart For A Cause donation page and receive some great art in return.

It’s a casual affair and I thank Karen for joining me for this spur-of-the-moment event. There will be seven collages, mounted on Bristol board and ready for framing, each available for a minimum $40 donation to the American Cancer Society.

Just e-mail me tomorrow once Collage Mania is open at Virginiaat(use the at symbol)VirginiaSpiegel.com with your choices. Please don’t make a donation with your credit card (unless you just want to do so) until I let you know that you are the lucky new owner of one of these special collages as refunds aren’t possible from the ACS.

It’s art, it’s raising money for cancer education and research, let’s have some fun tomorrow!
