Breaking Traditions - Art Quilts benefit ACS through Fiberart For A Cause
Every year, Lynn Krawczyk chooses a theme for Breaking Traditions, the art quilt exhibit she curates. This year the theme is WITH ONE VOICE.
Lynn choose the theme to celebrate all that is good in the world. We hear so much about all the negative in the world. This is a chance to celebrate kind neighbors, generous volunteers, church ladies, good influences and those who look on the bright side of things.
And it doesn’t have to be just people/group oriented. Perhaps your quilt will be about recycling, nature, books, cooking, or writing. Well, you can see what I think are some of the good things in the world. What about you?
The art quilts will be shown on black panels so the appearance will be of one very large art quilt. Accordingly, all art quilts must be 12″ x 12.” Your art quilt will be returned after the traveling exhibit is completed.
Lynn, in keeping with her theme, is asking only a $10 donation to the American Cancer Society through Fiberart For A Cause as the entry fee. What a great bonus for Fiberart For A Cause! Thank you, Lynn!
The entry deadline is August 31, but Lynn would be thrilled to have entries before then so she can begin photographing the artwork. In fact, I believe, in addition to the other prizes, there might be a special drawing for those entries received before August 1.
All the guidelines are here, including how to contact Lynn if you have questions.

Melanie - I’m just back and will be back on schedule with Tuesday inspirations and the Garbage Day report starting next week. I plan on taking a few more weeks off from the computer in the Fall instead of so many in a row this summer. Enjoy today’s photos from Alaska above.
