D-Rings are found in the picture hanging department.  They are, well, D-shaped little rings that are attached to another piece of metal with a round hole in it.  I used them for framing (you pound a nail through the round hole and use the D-rings to hold picture wire) and thought, why not?  I use the smallest ones available and only on pieces that are not very floppy or are small.  I still use sleeves and aluminum bars on bigger work.  I think four of the Boundary Waters series use D-rings.
