New Artwork
I’m back from my annual visit to commune with the ocean in Pacific Grove, CA. I cleaned my studio before I left and found that I was very eager to start working again. I sewed the D-ring hangers on this piece, Boundary Waters #20, today AND have another work almost done. It’s good to take a break, come home, and feel the urge to create, create, and create some more.
There is a preview of other Boundary Waters pieces on my website.
Planet Textile Threads is an aggregator for fiber art blogs, including this one. Great photos and news from around the fiber world.

Kathy - Thank you!
D-Rings are found in the picture hanging department. They are, well, D-shaped little rings that are attached to another piece of metal with a round hole in it. I used them for framing (you pound a nail through the round hole and use the D-rings to hold picture wire) and thought, why not? I use the smallest ones available and only on pieces that are not very floppy or are small. I still use sleeves and aluminum bars on bigger work. I think four of the Boundary Waters series use D-rings.
Does that help?
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Warm regards,
Virginia
