As an extremely creative person who works in all kinds of media AND the originator of the Garbage Day Project I would like to ask if you have any ideas for all my outdated health-oriented books? (I must have around 50--both paperbacks and hardbacks). I hate to landfill them but they are of no use to anyone, really. I MUST get rid of them because I have stacks of others that need to go into their space. HELP!

Vicki - Isn't that the way of it. Perfectly good - but for what? Do you know about Freecycle? It's a way to get rid of stuff - your junk is another person's treasure:

http://www.freecycle.org/

Maybe there is a network near you. Altered book artists???

Maybe one of the Garbage Day Project readers can offer us a suggestion.
Let us know if you find a way to keep them out of the landfill and thanks for writing,
