Inspiration and The Garbage Day Project
These are birdhouse gourds. And, yes, I really do make birdhouses from them, although it is a pain to do and they don’t last very long. But each gourd is beautiful in its own way and the mold they form as they dry makes a lovely patina on the surface. These are still quite green. Patience is needed
Of course, there is a new post on The Garbage Day Project today with a link to a fun recycling and art blog.
I wanted to mention, before it is too late, artist Claudine Intner’s online exhibit and fundraiser, Art Now for Autism.
Visit the website today as artwork from 26 artists, including fiber artists Pamela Allen, Christi Beckman, Karen Loprete, Sylvia Weir, and Beth Wheeler, will be available only through October 31. All money raised will go to Autism Speaks and Cure Autism Now.
If you like reading my blog, treat yourself to my online book, Art, Nature, Creativity, Life. 100% of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society.
