A tale of 200 yards of white fabric – Part 3 of 3

Hey, thanks for hanging in there through three days on this topic!  Today is nothing but stacks and stacks of fabric. And believe me, this is just a sampling of the approximately 400 pieces.  Enjoy!  Tomorrow I will wrap up Residency Week with a look at some of my favorite things from this residency and the big party that was Open Studio Day.

Well, not to just repeat what everybody else has said – but WOW! This is amazing, and inspiring, and drop-dead beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us – I know that just thinking of it all makes my heart speed up, and it truly spurs me on in my own efforts. Well done!

Thanks for all the great comments.

Cynthia – I sent 40 lbs. home with my sister who was a resident artist for the first two weeks of Feb. working on a book about our Great Boundary Waters Adventurers, shipped about 100 lbs. and carried about 40 more in my own luggage. Whew!

    Beautiful work, Virginia! Thank you.

I am guessing this all weighs about a ton. Did you drive it home, or ship it? (I think we can safely assume you didn’t pay for all the extra luggage on a flight!)

I’m absolutely drooling and in awe of the amount of work you did in one month.

Now I’m really wondering what I do with my time!
