Frances Holliday Alford recently wrote an article for Quilting Arts Magazine featuring her "Outrageous Embellishments" and also appeared on Quilting Arts TV.  She has become known for her innovative use of unusual objects, mixing items of value along with the mundane to create color planes with a pointillist quality.
 
Frances' artwork has appeared in Quilting Arts Magazine, Quillter's Newsletter and Quilt Mania.
 
In addition to magazine publications, Frances' artwork may be found in Embellished Mini-Quilts by Jamie Fingal;  America From the Heart, I Remember Mama and Creative Quilting: The Journal Quilt Project (all edited by Karey Bresenhan); and Prize Winning Quilts: The Best of the International Quilt Association Shows by Rita Wiess.
 
Frances divides her time between Austin, Texas and Grafton, Vermont.  She is a philanthropist and a patron of the arts.
