We have donated more than $250,000 to the ACS.

Why?

It's personal, of course. My Dad is a colon cancer survivor.

My sister was chair of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, in Forest Lake, MN for ten years and I founded Fiberart For A Cause as a team to raise funds for our Relay. I consider each sponsor and donor a part of our team and very much appreciate your support and generosity.

It has become a family affair for us with three generations working
and having fun at the annual Relay.
From left, sister Nancy, Chair of the Relay for Life of Forest Lake, MN; niece Jenny, a teacher and chair of her school's Relay at Recess and frequent donor to Locks of Love; me; and our Mom, Florence, strong Relay supporter who taught us all the value of service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's largest fundraiser. The Relay For Life event began with Dr. Gordon Klatt, a colo-rectal surgeon, who ran and walked around a track for 24 hours, raising about $27,000 for the American Cancer Society in honor of his patients.

The American Cancer Society has been repeatedly and consistently in the top ten Good Stewards identified by charity watchgroups.

The American Cancer Society's toll-free number, 1-800-ACS-2345, connects a caller directly with a trained cancer information specialist who can answer questions, listen to concerns or refer the caller to local programs.
