The True Stories series is inspired by a written narrative of my family history. The history is an invaluable, although often incomplete and contradictory, source of inspiration.

Doors, windows, Xs, Os, and writing are used to symbolize paths chosen and rejected, the confusion and turmoil of life, and the human need (including my own) not to be erased by death, but to make a mark and be remembered.
