Rosemary Claus-Gray is an artist who sees beauty in ordinary things. Botanical #10 is a weed, just a non-descript weed. Yet, it has grace and beauty and life. In some ways, all my art is a reflection of me, and could be considered a self-portrait of my inner being. I identify with this plain little weed that may be over-looked by those who love the flashy and gorgeous showy flowers. But I see something graceful in the arc of the plant, the rolling twist of the leaves, and the seeds, promising new life.This little weed matters, and teaches me about what is important.
