Craig is a studio potter who lives and works in Sioux City, Iowa. He creates functional and decorative pottery from stoneware clay. He mixes his own glazes, and glazed pieces are either fired to Cone 6 in an electric oxidation kiln, or fired outdoors using the ancient Chinese firing technique of Raku. Craig began throwing pottery in 1989, when his wife (quilter Tomme Fent) bought him a class as a birthday gift. He left the world of accounting and became a full-time studio artist in early 2000. Craig's work is featured in galleries in Norman, Oklahoma and in eastern Iowa.
