I have sewn traditional patchwork for many years and have always enjoyed playing with colours, textiles, patterns and trying new techniques. I am inspired by everything I see and experience, as well as from travels to the cultural world. I always have ideas that storm me faster than I can realize them.

I feel that I have now found "my way." I use the sewing machine as a paintbrush on the material. It gives me a great freedom and I enjoy working freely without being caught by tight limitations.

I paint a lot of my materials outside in the summertime. I love looking at the clothesline full of materials in all colours, while my head fills with ideas for new projects.

I enjoy sewing faces- the different expressions there are in grooves, wrinkles and shadows are interesting to observe and they give such different expressions. Quite a few of my pictures are made in mosaics, a technique I developed because I did not want to throw away the small pieces of material, and because I am fascinated by the mosaics in Rome, Venice and Florence etc.

I also sew fabric postcards. The motifs are often landscapes and abstracts. It is a good way to experiment with new techniques, because the area is so small. They can be used to send a warm greeting to someone that will enjoy them.
