Welcome to Art, Nature, Creativity, Life.

Make a cup of tea, settle into your favorite chair and wander through the chapters at your leisure. You can spend ten minutes and be refreshed or spend several hours enjoying art, nature, poetry, photography and my take on the life of an artist. Enjoy and be inspired!

Each chapter of this book is an expanded version of one of my e-newsletters.
Some judicious editing and amending has been done and some clearly marked updates added. The number of photos I have included for your inspiration has grown and grown to more than eighty and the number of poems has doubled. My thanks to Tomme Fent and Karen Stiehl Osborn for their careful reading of this e-book, but, of course, all errors are my own.

I find art, nature, creativity, and life to be so interwoven as to defy categorization, so plan on treating this web-based book as you would any book of essays -- browse, explore, bookmark your favorites, and savor finding new treasures each time you open it.

The chapters are listed above in chronological order by the title of the essay which sets the theme for the issue. I've also included the season in which the originial e-newsletter was published in case you would prefer to explore them by season. You will also find this index at the bottom of each chapter.

Two notes: I'm sure you noticed that Fall and Winter are the seasons when I am indoors more often and more inclined toward thinking about life, hence more chapters in those seasons. You will also notice that the essays have become longer with each issue. If you prefer reading longer essays, start in 2007 and work your way back to the first chapter.

Feel free to contact me at Virginia@VirginiaSpiegel.com with your questions and comments. I will post notices of updates to Art, Nature, Creativity, Life on my blog.

Thank you for your support of Fiberart For A Cause, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
