A reminder that October 15 is Blog Action Day. The theme this year is poverty. This is a topic that is frequently on my mind on garbage day.

Wheels

Technical difficulties abound this week for The Garbage Day Project, but, luckily, the archives are deep. The main problem is the demise of my TGDP camera, but the garbage guys aren’t helping by coming in the dark! I have hopes that all will be squared away next week. Another Mr. Coffee bit the dust last week, so I have that on my TGDP art-making agenda.

Formed

Bubblewrap. How beautiful draped over a trash can and showing the colors beneath. It’s almost like a knitt or crochet shawl; one that will last virtually forever.

Swirl

Garbage Day is delayed a day due to Monday being a holiday, so to the archives! This is from about two weeks ago when the garbage guys came so early that I had only recyclables to peruse. Still, I like the color and movement here. Blue, white and yellow are such a classic combination.
