Well, that’s what happens when you take a break. The Garbage Guys go back to their early schedule and I am still drinking coffee when the truck rumbles by. So to the archives we go today.

My theory is every little bit helps. A little more recyling, a little less packaging – it all adds up. In that vein, I once again completed the process to make my yard a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. I liked the process better when you actually had to send a drawing of your yard with all the trees and plants labeled. But, hey, the concept is good and the sign helps explain my disappearing lawn.

Ten percent of us put out our garbage today and the other 90% obviously kept and read the holiday schedule and are SURE there is no garbage pick-up today. In any case, some days you just have to look a little harder for a photo.

The Garbage Day Project will be on hiatus starting next week until near the end of September, so I posted two photos today.
